Hahaha the Parasyte is all, "You can't be average because I wouldn't have picked average. Stop being a dunce." Loved the interaction between them and how selective the creature is when choosing to speak. You have a nice length for chapters going on; it's not over within minutes so it's easier to get settled in. I suspect the Peacocks are called such by the Underground because of their (metaphorical) ivory towers which would also help the rebellion to always remember, "We're rebelling because they have it all and we don't. We're suffering and they don't care." I also like how Alard isn't just fearless from the start; too often protagonists will be the bold, cool, impressive ones. This gives Alard believable conflict throughout and it's something that will resonate for many.
