“Aurora, no! I thought Fern told you to take the day off, relax and not think about Martin?” Diego says as he stands in front of the camera. I called the group chat that included the boys as soon as I decided to go to the hotels to see if I could find Martin.

“Yes he did but guess what I'm not going to because I'm not going to relax until I find out what’s going on. I mean for fucks sake I'm the one who hasn’t ever fucking had an orgasm and HE’S the one hiding and ignoring us? I’m the one who should be embarrassed, not him!” I say as I continue getting ready.

“Aurora, it’s best to not go. Just stay home. Or at least wait for one of us to go with you.” He says as he gets ready as well.

“No. If I know him like I think I do he should be waking up soon. I want to see what he’s doing and I'll catch him off guard.” I say as I run to my room to grab my keys. When I get back to the kitchen I see Ximena, Isabella, and Daniel joined the chat. “Oop. I forgot this was in the group chat.” I say as I grab my phone from where it was propped up on the table.

“Rory, Bryan told us and we don’t think you should go. Wait for me at least. I’m not working today.” I hear Isabella say as I close my front door.

“Sorry, can't I’m already walking out of my house.”

“You mean apartment.” Daniel says.

“What?” Diego responds.

“She means Apartment. It may be weirdly built but it’s an apartment, not a house.” He responds with a matter of fact tone.

“It is called Enclave Apartments” Ximena chimes in.

“You guys know what I mean. Look, I just got to my car. I'll talk with you guys later.” And with that I hang up before they are able to get another word out.

I pulled up to the hotel that charged him first. I drive around the parking lot to see if I can spot his car, which I don’t end up seeing. I park and get off and head into the lobby.

“Hi ma'am, welcome in. Do you have a reservation? Check in isn’t until 1PM” The lady at the desk says as soon as she sees me walking.

“Hi, no I don't but I was wondering if you can give me the information on a guest. Martin Gonzalez?” I say while looking around to see if I’m able to see him in the lobby.

“I’m sorry ma’am. I’m not allowed to give anyone information on our guests.” She says with a smile on her lips.

“I understand but It’s kind of urgent. Can you at least tell me if he’s here?” I say with a pleading look.

“I’m sorry ma’am but I don’t want to risk my job. If that is all I will have to ask you to leave.” And with that she turns and goes into a door that’s behind her.

It was like that at the other three hotels. I wasn’t able to get any information from anyone. I just wasted my time going and thinking they would give it to me just like that. I even thought about lying and saying I was his wife, hoping they would tell me something, but they didn't. On my way home I decided to stop by Diego’s house to try and distract myself.

“I knew they weren’t going to give you any information.” Diego says as we stand around the kitchen and eat the sandwiches he made us. As soon as he opened the door he could just tell I didn’t get any information. “This is real life, not a TV show. They don’t just give out information like nothing.” He continues while taking another bite.

“I know but I want answers. It's been about a week that this all happened and no one has heard from him. The only reason why we know he was at those hotels is because I logged in to his bank.” I’m able to mumble through the chips I put into my mouth.

“Just give it time. He’s going to come home soon.”

“How do you know that? No one has talked with him! At this point I don’t even want to be in a relationship with him anymore. If I were to do what he’s doing he would’ve sent me a text saying it’s over.” I put the disposable plate into the garbage and turned to look at him. “And you know it Diego. You and Fern have been friends with him since you were like 10. “ I say with eyes full of tears.

“Rory, he’s embarrassed. Stressed. Pressure. Mad. Everything. I know you are too but he was outed for not being able to satisfy his girlfriend. His pride was hurt. Doesn’t excuse his actions at all but it’s different for us guys. Girls talk. Most of our friends already know and it’s not from us guys telling them. By the time Martin returned back to Tony’s everyone was messaging us and posting shit on Snapchat. He’s being ridiculed. How no one has told you anything is beyond me.” Diego says as he finishes his sandwich and gets up to throw away his plate.

“Why are you defending him Diego? I’m the one who had so many thoughts that something is wrong with me. That I’m unattractive. Disgusting. Unworthy. Hurt. Do you know how it feels to be in bed crying after begging your partner to get you off? Do you know how it feels to want to touch yourself but you don’t because you're scared your partner is going to find out and get into ANOTHER fight? And all because he doesn’t care. All because if I touch myself then that means I’m used and gross. That he is the only one who can be inside me. How emotionally draining it is. So boo fucking hoo, he’s embarrassed because everyone knows he’s and egotistical asshole who only cares about himself and uses me to get off.” I yell out with tears streaming down my face.

“Aurora… I’m not trying to defend him. I’m sorry I made it seem like that. How long have you been holding that in? Why did you never say anything?”

“For this exact same reason. I knew something like this would happen. Why would I say something that I know would cause an argument? Plus I've told him multiple times and he would just laugh at me. I thought everyone would laugh at me as well. That it’s a me thing.” I say wiping my face from the tears that won’t stop falling. “I just. I wish I made up a believable story or something. I literally ruined everything. I don’t even remember ho-”

BANG!

There’s a loud bang that cuts me off. Both Diego and I stare at each other for another beat silently. We hear voices but I can’t seem to make out who it is. Diego stands and walks over to where we hear the noises. As soon as he leaves the kitchen I hear him swear silently and walk faster.

“What the hell happened, how the hell did you find him!” Him? Him who? Is it Martin? I run to the front door and take in what’s in front of me. Saul is struggling with a very drunk Martin. Diego is clearing everything from his couch. “Put him here. Rory, go get the Suero from my fridge and something in case he throws up.” He yells at me as he goes to help Saul walk him to the couch.

When I walk back into the living room I see Martin laying down on the couch on his side with Diego and Saul sitting on the other couch talking quietly. I set the Suero, water, and the bowl lined with bags on the floor right next to him. “Where did you find him?” I say quietly, sitting down but turning to look at Martin. He looks horrible. He’s in clothes that I know for a fact isn’t his unless he bought them since he’s been gone. Shoes untied. He just looks horrible. After a moment staring at him I realize that I didn’t get an answer so I turn to see Diego and Saul giving each other looks. “Saul, where did you find him?” I say staring at them.

“Don’t” I hear Diego say quietly to Saul while giving him a look.

“I need to. How can I not tell her?” Saul says. “She doesn’t look good either. These past few days have been shit for her.” Do I really look that bad?

“Don’t Saul. Things are going to get worse.” Diego says when Saul turns to stare at me.

“Saul, just tell me.” I stop their quiet argument. “ I've been worried for 5 days now, I’m his girlfriend. I deserve to know.”

“Fine, okay I’ll tell you. If you really wanna know I’ll tell you. Just. I need you to be sure because your not going to like it.” He says, staring at me.

“Saul you're just going to make things worse. Don’t” Diego turns and Looks at me. “Aurora you don’t want to know. It’s bad.” Diego says, running his hand through his hair.

“I do. I do want to know. So just tell me Saul. I don’t care anymore. I heard you say I look like shit. And you know what I do. He left me. He didn’t answer anyone's calls. MY calls. I missed work to try and go find him. And he has the fucking audacity to show up wherever the hell you found him drunk off his ass and YOU don’t want to tell me anything. No I deserve to know, So tell me Saul.” I say angrily, giving them both dirty looks.

“I found him with a girl getting kicked out of the Liquor store on state street.” Saul says, staring at me. “He seemed pretty out of it. They were arguing with the security. As soon as I realized who it was I ran over, talked with the guy and was able to get him in the car. The closest place was Diego's. So I grabbed the keys he hid and came in. Though I didn’t think you would be here or else I would’ve taken him somewhere else.”

“No. It’s Okay. I um.. I need to go. Call me when he’s up” I say getting up and walking to the kitchen. I grab my purse and keys and go straight to the door.

“Where are you going?” Saul says standing up and following me to the door. Diego followed behind him.

“I just need to leave okay. I need to go home. Just… call me when he wakes up” And with that I walked out the door and went home.

I knew deep down he had to be with someone else, I was just hoping to be wrong.
