I get the final say in this story. (As it should be, people!) Anyhow, our family starting was quick.

Nine months after our honeymoon, Olivia gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Now, since all of you know how damn stubborn Olivia can BE, we had some disagreements about what to name this little angel, who I might add, looks an awful lot like her pretty mama.

We argued for almost the entire nine months over what the names would be. I FINALLY decided that it wasn't worth it anymore and just allowed Olivia to have her way if it was a girl.

Arabella Olivia Mason. I teased Olivia, telling her that I was going to call our daughter, Bell. She didn't even argue with me about that!

Anyhow, being a parent is hard work! Especially when you're the parent of a baby. But I thought that Olivia and I'd did a damn fine job of it.

We DID end up merging our two bakeries. After Bell was born, Olivia took a break from being a baker. I did a lot of it, although we did so well, we ended up hiring a couple of others to help me out.

We usually didn't stay open too late, either, because we both wanted to be around for Arabella.

And let me tell you: that sweet little angelic girl, she's definitely got her mama's temper! If Arabella wants something, we had better be quick about it.

Or she'd scream bloody murder! It was NOT a fun thing to deal with. But both Olivia and I wouldn't have traded her in for ANYBODY else.

Olivia is smiling at me as I'm playing with Arabella. She's almost a year old and even more feisty.

Bell is giggling happily as I play peek a boo with her. Olivia is laughing, too. Arabella looks over at her mother and grins, her few teeth showing.

"You're both a couple of goofballs," Olivia says. Bell crawls over to her mama and Olivia lifts her up, kissing her cheeks.

Arabella is babbling away in her baby language. I walk over to them and sit down next to my wife and daughter.

I give Olivia a kiss and she grins.

"Sometimes I STILL can't believe that WE ended up together."

"Neither can I. But hey, stranger things have been known to happen."

"Isn't that the truth?"
