That's interesting. It seems like he can't know WHEN he will die but it must be in the near future for him to know that it will happen, because surely before whatever happened in order for him to start seeing his own death it's not as though he could have foreseen himself living forever. Or maybe he did. That would certainly be cruel, to see immortality and then for some event to take that away before you can live it.
