This chapter asks a lot of interesting questions. I also enjoyed the dialogue between Xigon and Azvalath, they both bring up great points to each other. There are some great little worldbuilding details here too with their culture. It seems like all of them have different powers. So far what I'm thinking is that when you kill someone you can pray to the Iron God, and the Iron God may bring them back with an ability and that's how they planned on bringing the "devil-child" back home. It seems like they do believe she's a cursed "child" but they want her with them for some reason, perhaps because she's already so strong and would be a great addition to their warriors/soldiers? Hmm
