I wonder if another god did something to Kolo's village, as the grinning horror. Part of trying to keep the Iron God weak

Hmmmmm maybe Kolo IS the heart, and she split from the Iron God somehow. But I don't think that lines up with how long Xigon and Qila have been looking to fix the Iron God as they've been alive for so long in comparison to Kolo.
