The sun began to set soon after dinner, and Sehrish returned to her room to study while the rest of the group hung out in the living room. Aika's eyes darted between Hank and Anna, until Anna dismissed them both with a wave of her hand.

"You haven't confided in me with anything."

"Then I expect you to respect me more, as I've yet to confide in you." Aika acted like something Hank had said actually sunk in. He pressed his point further. "We won't show or tell Anna anything. Respect my privacy, please."

Aika sang while skipping away. "Okay, but you're wrong! We should really show her. It would do the world some good!"

Not my world, Hank thought, his feet frozen almost too stiff to walk.
